First we went out onto the woodland walk and did some orienteering. In mixed class groups, the children used maps of the school grounds to find the orange flags. They then wrote down the coordinates and used a compass to find the direction of the flag. It was brilliant to see the teamwork of each group! Other activities enjoyed throughout the day included playing traditional games such as dominoes, yo-yos and pick up sticks. Bingo was a big hit in both classes as well! We also decorated kindness chests and wrote kindness messages to friends.
