Date: 21st Nov 2025 @ 1:31pm
Year 2 took part in an exciting Design and Technology lesson linked to our Bonfire Night theme. The children explored food technology by learning about traditional bonfire treats and discussing how foods are prepared safely.
To bring the theme to life, the class made their very own s’mores, using biscuits and marshmallows. The children carefully followed instructions, helped prepare the ingredients, and enjoyed warming their marshmallows over a small “campfire”. They were thrilled to see their s’mores melt together and loved tasting the results of their hard work.
Year 2 trip to Eureka children's museum, by Mrs Bradley
Date: 21st Nov 2025 @ 1:16pm
Year 2 had a fantastic day out at Eureka! Children’s Museum this week. The children spent the day exploring the museum’s interactive galleries, discovering how everyday things work, experimenting with hands-on science activities, and enjoying the chance to play and learn in a new environment.
A highlight of the trip was taking part in a special workshop called 'The Gross Lab'. During this session, the children learned all about the human body in a fun and engaging way. They investigated how different body systems work, explored some brilliantly “gross” scientific facts, and took part in activities that brought their classroom learning to life.
The pupils represented the school beautifully and returned full of excitement, new knowledge, and plenty of stories to share. It was a memorable day that supported their science learning and sparked lots of curiosity!

The show included some really funny parts like when Ted fell off the bed through dancing too much! After a lunch picnic with our linking buddies, we had a drama workshop where we created freeze frames to go in the play. We were then joined by Nic and Ted to perform our freeze frames infront of the other groups. Everyone came away from today with smiles on their faces and some hugs were shared at the end of the day.
