Smithills Trip

During our visit to Smithills Open Farm, we enjoyed a hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals and farm activities. We visited the Pets Corner, where we were able to stroke and interact with friendly animals. We also fed goats, sheep and other farm animals around the farm.
We explored the farm to see many different animals, including cows, pigs, horses, donkeys, alpacas, llamas and birds. We also visited the reptile area, where we saw snakes, lizards and other reptiles.
As part of the day's activities, we enjoyed a tractor and trailer ride around the farm and children had the opportunity to take a donkey ride. One of the highlights was watching the cow milking demonstration, where we learned how milk is produced on a working dairy farm.
The visit was fun, educational and gave us a better understanding of farm life while allowing us to interact closely with a range of animals.
