Sir David Attenborough Day - May 26

On Friday 8th May, we celebrated the 100th Birthday of Sir David Attenborough. The children had a fantastic day learning about his life and how his work has impacted our lives.
The day started with an assembly explaining who he was, what we can learn from him and what we can do as individuals to be more like him. Each year group got a different book which explored the theme of a particular animal being engdangered due to our actions and exploring what we can do to recitify this and turn it around.

Year3 - Buddy's Rainforest Rescue (Orangutans)
Year 4 - Nelson's Dangerous Dive (Whales)
Year5 - Sunny's Blazing Battle (Koalas)
Year 6 - Marl's Mangled Tale (Puffins)
The children had a Science and an Art/creative task to complete being using iMovie to voice over videos in the style of David Attenborough.
