River Walk

Lesson: Geography

Class: Year 4R Year: 2025 - 2026

This morning, Year 4 had a walk to follow the journey of the River Roch. On the way to the River Roch, we walked along the canal. When we arrived at the River Roch, we were upstream nearer to the source and we followed the river flow downstream. We spotted fast flowing water, like rapids, and a sign warning people of the danger of this. We saw flood barriers/defences near to the important building of Riverside. Here, there was also a steep riverbank. The water depth varied and we could spot the rocks of the river bed in some places. One interesting part of the River Roch is that is goes underneath part of the town so it felt like we could walk on water! Well done year 4 for walking so sensibly today!
