This term we are looking at Plants in our Science unit. We began, this week, by carefully observing and drawing the flowering plants in our school grounds.A few weeks ago we took delivery of some very tiny larvae, caterpillars. We have watched them eat, get bigger and fatter and then create a chrysalis. This week some of the chrysalis, "hatched" and beautiful butterflies emerged. We released them in the school gounds so they could enjoy freedom surrounded by flowers. Some Year 1 children helped us release the butterflies to the wild.
