This half term, we have been exploring music through the story 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. The children used a range of instruments to represent the different characters, choosing light sounds for the small goat and louder, deeper sounds for the big goat and the troll.

We practised changing tempo and volume, making “trip trap” sounds as the goats crossed the bridge. The children also enjoyed acting out the story with music, building their confidence and creativity.

Through these activities, the children have been developing their listening skills, understanding of rhythm, and ability to express themselves through sound – all while having lots of fun!
