Dance in Reception!

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Rec P Year: 2025 - 2026

In PE this term, we have been exploring dance through movement and imagination. The children have loved moving like different animals, using their bodies to express a range of actions and emotions.

We practised tiptoeing quietly, like sneaky animals, and stamping loudly like an “angry elephant.” The children also enjoyed freezing in different animal positions, showing great control and balance.

These activities have helped the children develop coordination, listening skills, and confidence in movement, all while having lots of fun being creative!
