Reception RM Class Newsletter
Reception RM Newsletter Thursday 2nd April
Thank you so much to everyone who came to support our Easter Bonnet Parade this morning. The children looked wonderful and sang really well. It was a lovely occasion.
Thank you to all parents who helped their children to make a bonnet. It would not have been a success without your help.
If you were unable to watch the children this morning then take a look at the gallery section of the website where some photographs have already been uploaded. Mr Whelan is also hoping to upload some videos of the performance.
Your child has quite a few pieces of homework to keep them going over the Easter holiday. It would be a good idea, at this point to revise and practise letter formation and also the spellings learned so far. Don’t forget to keep practising your child’s reading with them at home and encourage them to read wherever you are. They can help by finding labels on tins when supermarket shopping or reading street names if you are walking outside. Games of ‘I spy’ are also a good way of encouraging your child to listen for the initial sound of a word.
Our chicks, now just over a week old have now been returned to Living Eggs. It was wonderful to have them in school and witness how quickly they grow. The children enjoyed holding them earlier this week.
After the holiday, our role play area will become a Vet’s Surgery. Please talk to your child about a vet’s role and if you have ever visited a vet with an animal talk to them about what happened there.
Well done to the lucky winners of our Easter Egg raffle. Don’t eat them all at once!
We hope you have a lovely, restful and holiday and look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 20th April.
Happy Easter!
